When the sun lingers longest
and the Earth opens her arms
to receive the fullness of light,
a window appears.
A few illuminated days to widen your attention.
To lean into curiosity.
To feel what has been waiting
beneath the surface of your being.
Turn inward.
To your very root.
To the bowl of your pelvis.
To your trembling guts.
To your deep, dark depths.
What has been hiding there
in the places untouched by sunlight?
What feelings, stories, or abandoned parts of yourself
are now ready to be witnessed?
You do not have to force them forward.
You do not have to chase them away.
Simply welcome them.
Let them rise through the heart,
breeze through the throat,
blossom into the vision of the third eye,
and stretch toward the crown.
Let what has been in shadow
meet the brilliance of the sun.
Step outside if you can.
Wander aimlessly.
Feel the unwavering support of the Earth beneath you.
Let nature hold what is ready to be relinquished.
Yes, everything within you belongs.
But still, some parts have been waiting
a long time for the sunlight...
During this Summer Solstice Window,
may you bring them home.
May they transform.
May they shapeshift.
May they become something new.
May all that is ready to move from darkness
find its way into the radiant embrace
of the living world.
