Who Is Angie?
Conceptually, I am a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. I have been both a preschool teacher and a medical speech-language pathologist by trade. I am a shamanic practioner. I am a lover of walks in nature, comfortable beds, donuts, and The Beatles. Like many humans, I have experienced deep suffering. When my son was an infant, my body was the heaviest it had ever been as a result of daily binge eating. My chronic Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) was out of control. I was physically and emotionally exhausted, ill, anxious to the point of paranoia, and filled with fear, rage, and shame.
During this time, I saw a photo of me holding my son; I instantly recognized my child, but I absolutely did not recognize myself. As I stared at this stranger in the picture, a sense of sudden, wild curiosity gripped me: Who Is This? What In the ACTUAL CRAP Is Going on Here?! This deep curiosity has been my guide ever since. It has led me on a completely unexpected and unimaginable adventure through physical, emotional, behavioral, and psychological change that has transformed the entirety of my life. Along this pathless path, I discovered the work of Dr. Amy Johnson and trained with her to become a Certified Change Coach in 2024.
I coach in order to deepen my own grounding through helping others explore and clarify their fundamental misunderstandings about the nature of experience. I guide people toward actually looking at what is here before and beyond narrative thought, so they can awaken to the simplicity of being. No huge effort. No striving. Just looking, exploring, feeling, and inquiring into what already is.About Coaching
When we work together, you can bring whatever feels confusing, heavy, or difficult. We will explore it openly and with curiosity. You’ll learn to be more present with your feelings and how to integrate them. Along the way, you’ll notice how your thoughts and emotions interact, which will help you become less reactive and more responsive in everyday life. In this space, you’ll notice patterns as they arise, begin to see your thinking without taking it so personally, and realize that you are not alone in what you experience. Over time, you’ll start to feel a greater sense of ease, clarity, and connection in your experience and gain the confidence to navigate life from a steadier, more grounded place.
